An 80’ x 100’ tent and full sub floor were constructed on the croquet field at Lahontan in Truckee, CA. The install started four days before the wedding day during a snow storm. The heaters were left on 24/7 in order to keep the snow from accumulating on top of the tent. The day before the wedding the sun came out and melted all of the snow and made for a gorgeous day.

The tent was divided into two sections with Higgins Screens to create the ceremony area and an area to stage the twenty-seven king’s tables, 40’ x 40’ dance floor, stage and four bars.

The three-course meal was prepared and served by the Lahontan team from the catering tent just steps away from the main tent. Tabletops were created with Courtney Chocolate linens, Camelot Natural napkins, White Rim China, Rigoletto glassware and Bellini flatware.

In the case of Florence and Michael’s wedding, Classic Sacramento donated the chargers, the hotel donated the use of its ballroom and tables/chairs, a local linen company donated the linen and napkins, a few caterers pitched in to feed the guests and a DJ provided services as well.

The event included a traditional shovel ceremony at the site of construction and various presentations.

Classic Party Rentals Sacramento supplied the rentals for both the indoor and outdoor portions of the event. Indoor guests were seated in black wood chairs, the area was draped off with navy blue microfiber pipe and drape, and the stage area was accented with red carpet. Outdoors, the shovel ceremony was held underneath a 40′ x 50′ tent with lighting.

Shades of silver, blue and white created a cool, elegant mood and the Classic team set the stage with White Bengaline linens, Topaz Tiffany napkins, white china with double silver bands, Silver Brilliance chargers, Opus glassware and Pantheon flatware.

Lilygrass Fresh Flower Designs created the all-white flora centerpieces and TLC Catering prepared a delicious three-course dinner. Senior Event Consultant Kathy A. Newby presented a short Tenting 101 class to fill members in on the nuts and bolts of tenting.

Jennifer and Brya chose black and burgundy as their color scheme. Black satin linens, black Chiavari chairs with Topaz Burgundy cushions, Black Fiddlehead flatware and Ruby Red Braided glasses completed the tablescapes. Florals by Lavish Floral.

Over 2500 attendees eagerly made their way to the The Village at Northstar, Truckee, CA for the 24th Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival.

Revelers enjoyed a grape-stomping good time with three days of wine walks, seminars, cooking demonstrations, grand tasting, the Tahoe Plein Air Art Show and culinary competitions including the blazing Mountain Chef Cook-off.

Painted Rock Lodge at Squaw Valley, a private estate at the foot of Painted Rock in Lake Tahoe, was the evergreen paradise chosen by a San Francisco couple for their nuptials. Their intimate wedding was threatened by rain, but Mother Nature held off and sunshine prevailed.

The rustic yet elegant tabletop decor popped on the Descanso tables. Wood-handled Sequoia flatware, Contempo Plum water goblets, Henna Sage table runners and Chocolate napkins completed the look.

Felicia Events were the wedding planners and Moody’s Bistro & Lounge provided the catering.

Descano tables were a natural.

When the bride and groom had the opportunity to hold their wedding reception in a newly constructed high-rise building in downtown Sacramento, they jumped at the chance.

With the help of Classic Party Rentals, the unfinished office space on the 25th floor was transformed into a contemporary event site. Guests exited the elevators and entered the reception area through double doors gracefully swagged with 12′ high bengaline moiré drapes in a natural color. A sea of round tables covered with floor-length ivory satin, dotted with a family of contemporary stemware, filled the room. Fresh cut white floral centerpieces in short and tall clear vases echoed the look and simplicity of a traditional wedding reception with a distinctly updated flair.

The décor concept capitalized on the building’s angular lines by using the open beam ceiling and framed floor-to-ceiling windows as design elements. Round dining tables, globe-shaped white Chinese lanterns, and soft fabric draping completed the wedding site. Walnut-colored Chiavari chairs with ivory cushions grounded the furnishings and gave the room décor a sense of completion. Scenic views of California’s Capitol building were prominent from each of the 250 guest seats.

Catering by Mama Kim Cooks was fabulous.
