Wedding at Rancho Santa Fe

Nestled amidst palm trees on the family’s 56-acre estate in Rancho Santa Fe, Alya and Santo’s ceremony was picture perfect against the backdrop of the World Class Albert Court Equestrian Center.

With vast lush pastures and Spanish-style architecture, the reception for 250 needed very little enhancement. The gardens and landscape were artfully illuminated by Classic Party Rentals with a mixture of colorful hues that highlighted the beauty of the natural setting. Vibrant colors popped on tabletops as guests enjoyed a lavish meal prepared by The French Gourmet and danced to music provided by Wayne Foster Entertainment.

The Art of Fashion

On a crisp fall afternoon each year in Rancho Santa Fe, The Country Friends organization partners with South Coast Plaza to present “The Art of Fashion” fashion show, an annual fundraiser benefitting specially selected charities of San Diego County.

The day begins with a delicious luncheon on the Croquet Lawn at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe under a 50’ x 80’ canopy. Following lunch, attendees wind their way down to Rancho Santa Fe Park, where they enter a breathtaking 90’ x 80’ mesh tent, evoking the feeling of being inside a giant butterfly net.

With the stage set and guests settled, the show, designed and produced by Shannon Davidson Productions, begins. Runway models glide by wearing fashions by designers Emilo Pucci, Roberto Cavalli, Oscar de la Renta and Michael Kors and more. At the show’s conclusion, guests follow the path back to the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe to stroll through exclusive boutiques and enjoy the Après Affaire Wine Tasting.

Wedding at Darlington House

A beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon was the perfect setting for a wedding at the Darlington House in La Jolla. Guests gathered for the ceremony in the Egyptian Patio and then recessed to the Andalusian Patio for cocktail hour. Andrew Spurgin of Waters Fine Catering provided a beautiful plated dinner for the 140 guests in the rose garden. Lisa Jenkins was the wedding coordinator and florals were provided by Floral FX.
