The Gwinnett Center

More than 450 guests were given the 5-star treatment at the 5^thAnnual Celebration of Support.  The UGA Office of Special Events and the University’s Conference Center and Hotel designed the event which was held at The Gwinnett Center.

Classic Atlanta arranged white valencia chairs throughout the venue and incorporated the University’s colors at each table setting using red metallic and black chargers.  Floral arrangements were provided by European Floral Design and the event was catered by Proof of the Pudding.

It was a sunny day in Georgia as University VIP’s gathered to celebrate the newly-renovated Reed Plaza concession area.  UGA’s President Dr. Michael Adams, Athletic Director Greg McGarity and Football Head Coach Mark Richt all took turns at the podium and no Sanford Stadium event would be complete without mascots Hairy Dawg and Uga!

This was the Dalai Lama’s second visit to Emory University and Classic Atlanta was again the chosen rental partner.

Classic collaborated with Michael Kloss from Emory University to transform the gym into an intimate setting, installing 20,000 square feet of carpeting and over 4,000 white padded chairs.

The install on the main gym area was an all-nighter. The crew arrived around 7 p.m. to start the carpet installation and the chair crew started immediately after working around the clock until it was finished the following morning at 8 a.m.

Pipe and drape, 150 tables, over 5,000 chairs, and 150+ linens were installed in multiple locations on the Emory campus. Classic also set up the security tenting area outside the gym.

Lyon College Founders’ Day Convocation Celebrating 138th Anniversary

In preparation for the event, Classic Party Rentals Memphis met with key planners from Lyon College to transform the gymnasium into a golden gala. The gym ceiling was draped with white polyester fabric lined with over 24,000 mini lights that positively sparkled.

The perimeter was transformed with pleated Victorian Gold polyester fabric which hung from the gym’s rafters. Guest tables were covered in rich royal blue crinkle linens, red napkins and gold and silver rimmed china.

The event preparation did not end with the inside transformation. As guests arrived, they walked through a lighted pathway covered by marquette tents that glowed with mini lights covering the tent borders and the surrounding trees and foliage.

University of California Berkeley v. University of California Davis . . . first football game of the season. Now that calls for a party! Approximately 1,400 guests, university donors, were invited to celebrate the day and cheer on their favorite team.

Classic San Francisco covered the existing artificial turf on Maxwell Field at UC Berkeley with visqueen and Astroturf to protect it from spills, then installed tents and outdoor patio dining for this daytime pre-game event.

Classic also provided all plants and furnishings, and swagged the inside of the tent with a unique blue and gold ripple effect.

Dan McAlexander was installed as LaGrange College’s 25th president on the plaza outside the Frank and Laura Lewis Library on the lovely Georgia campus.

Approximately 700 guests gathered for a ceremony filled with pomp, music and history.

Delegates from colleges and universities around the country, as well as alumni from classes as far back as 1938, joined representatives from the United Methodist Church, the city of LaGrange, faculty, staff and students to welcome the new president.

The 2010 Regents’ Awards was a gorgeous event at the Marriott Marquis, Atlanta, GA.

The 4th Annual University of Georgia Celebration of Support honored members of the university’s cumulative giving societies. And what better venue than the beautiful Georgia Aquarium?

The UGA Office of Special Events hosted 600 guests at the sit-down dinner. The black lacquer chargers added a distinctive, Classic touch.

Classic provided a 100’ x 120’ twin pole tent (a challenge because we couldn’t drive lifts on the grass, only on the quad area walkways, or plywood sheets were needed), canopy, lighting, tables, chairs and linens, lattice panels and Solar Flo Heaters.

Catering was provided by Spaggis in Upland and audio by Nelson Sound.
