Classic Party Rentals El Segundo provided the rentals for this unique event…the launching of a rebuilt New York street back lot in the heart of Los Angeles.

On May 27, 2010, Universal Studios launched the rebuilt New York Street back lot location with a 1200 guest party celebrating the neighborhoods of New York and beyond. The 4 acre, 13 city block site was divided into different themed areas using set dressing, food trucks, performers and interactive entertainment. 

Guests were treated to a tram ride through the front of the Universal Studios lot to the event location’s spot lit, red carpet entry. With Sinatra playing in the background, they were greeted by 1930′s style newsboys handing out a studio newspaper with articles about the rebuild and a location map. 

While exploring the legendary street, guests sampled from different food trucks such as Border Grill, Kogi BBQ, PattyWagon burgers, Sweets Truck, Coolhaus ice cream and D’amore’s Pizza. Specialty catering was provided by Jack White (classic English pub fare) and Stan Perkins (Cajun/Creole fusion). There were also Bart’s Carts with roasted peanuts, cotton candy, pretzels and hot dogs. 

Entertainment provided break dancers, a troupe of Rockettes, Can-Can Dancers and Geisha Stilt Walkers among other gifted performers.
