Classic provided tenting, lighting, carpeting, custom drape, custom table runners, and custom dance floor. Chameleon Chairs provided the elegant seating and Asiel Design the gorgeous florals.

According to ABC, many past “Bachelor” couples, stars and participants are in attendance. It should garner great ratings for ABC — the wedding of Trista and Ryan from the first season of “The Bachelorette” drew over 17 million viewers.

Hosting this year’s Beach Bowl was Dan Patrick. Super Bowl-winning [...]]]> On Saturday, February 6, the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl returned to South Beach, the site of the inaugural Beach Bowl. Now in its fourth year, the Beach Bowl brings together gridiron greats and a Who’s Who of the entertainment world in a no-holds-barred flag football game.

Hosting this year’s Beach Bowl was Dan Patrick. Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning coached Team Palladia HD, going head-to-head with Team Spike HD coach Mark Sanchez. Former NFL players Warren Moon and Rich Gannon were captains. Other former NFL players included Eddie George, Merril Hoge, Mark Schlererth, Desmond Howard, and Daryl Johnston.

Rounding out the teams were TV and films stars including Taylor Lautner, Jennifer Lopez, Chace Crawford, Marisa Miller, Ed Westwick, Kellan Lutz, Nancy O’Dell, Brian McKnight, Michael Clarke Duncan, The Wayans Brothers, Olivia Munn, and Jessica Szohr.

Immediately after the game and trophy presentation, the crowd filled the beach for The Post-Game Concert featuring the All-American Rejects.

Jack Murphy Productions was the primary designer and general contractor for this fabulous event. Classic helped plan, execute, design, and provided necessary event rentals.

And after the event…this is exactly where the Beach Bowl was set-up. As you can see, very eco-friendly!

Capital Party Rentals in Washington DC had another successful year providing tenting and tabletop to a three-week long event ‘Hometown for the Holidays’ held in front of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

The 110 vendors ranged from cupcakes and funnel cakes to high-end restaurants selling filet mignon on the streets, clothing retailers, homemade jewelry and scarf makers, fortune tellers and all genres of bands displaying their musical talents.

It’s a great community event that brings together those who live in the city and those who work in the city. In case you’re wondering…the show did go on throughout the blizzard. The client and consumers were thrilled. They called it their “Winter Wonderland” and they had a record number of customers during the snow storm!

An auspicious occasion, the decommissioning of the USS Los Angeles Nuclear Powered Attack Submarine in San Pedro, CA. This submarine was used during the cold war as a seek and destroy weapon toward enemy ships or other subs threatening American soil…Hunt for Red October.

Catering was provided by Spaggis in Upland and audio by Nelson Sound.

And for “Best Event Produced for an Individual…” the Special Events Magazine’s 2009 Gala Award goes to Rogers and Gala Creative Partners, Charlotte NC for Ali’s Rock and Style Collection.

Classic Charlotte served as the event equipment vendor for Rogers and Gala providing carpet, velon, staging, and more for this award-winning event.

What do you get when you gather 425 guests for a destination wedding celebration in California on a 75 million dollar ranch? Just ask Jyoti and Luke as they celebrated with friends and family at an Indian style three-day fete with modern touches.

Classic Party Rentals provided rentals and did a fantastic job with difficult multi-kitchen set-ups, as guests partied at three different locations on Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The entire affair was coordinated by Entertainment Design Events, Beverly Hills.

“Audience hangs tight at museum benefit despite light going out” was the headline.

Shari Kelley of Shari Kelley Events of Palm Springs produced this year’s Palm Springs Art Museum Gala. By moving some of the large art displays, a large enough space was provided for the tables and ballroom chairs provided by Classic to fit the 380 guests in the same room. The entire ballroom, lounge and dining room were stark white with long, narrow light strips of changing colors.

Classic also provided the china, glassware and flatware for Carousel Catering. On the loading dock Classic provided cooking equipment and a last minute addition of a 10′ x 40′ canopy and kindle heaters for the valet parking area at the entrance. Classic also cut individual strips of black astroturf for the many steps leading to the main door.

But back to the headline. Just as some guests were leaving and some hitting the dance floor there was a power outage in the area. The museum had enough generator power to keep the party going. The challenge? The freight elevator did not come back online until Tuesday delaying Classic’s pickup. The vendor who set up the lights had to get them out so they could be shipped to Miami for the Super Bowl setup. Never a dull moment!
