The weather outside was windy and frightful, but Merriment was sure delightful… there’s just one place to go… just so you know—so you know—so you know. . .

The Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) 3rd Annual Holiday “Merriment” street festival. 

“Merriment was designed to capture Georgetown’s Charles Dickens-like environment and deliver the holiday spirit,” said Nancy Miyahira, Marketing Director at the Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID).

This magical event included all the ingredients of a winter wonderland and who better to help create holiday cheer than Capital Party Rentals providing tenting and staging again this year.

Debbie Young , Marketing Manager with the Georgetown BID and CPR’s Gloria Rhodes took the event décor to a fun new level, wrapping all the tent poles with red Velon pole covers and covering all anchor blocks with red astro turf.

“It truly resembled one large candy cane,” said Debbie Young.

Lauded as the most authentic Christkindlmarket outside of Germany, Chicago Christkindlmarket is the largest open-air winter festival in Chicago.

Classic Party Rentals Chicago has provided equipment to the Chicago Christkindalmarket for 15 years, and for similar events in Philadelphia and Vancouver.

Classic provides everything from the tenting to the food service equipment including 18 griddles for the cooking of brats and potato pancakes. Classic erects 10,100 square feet of tenting, 9,300 square feet of flooring and over 500,000 BTU’s of electric heat. 

The name “Christkindlmarket” originates from the mythical tale of the Christkind. She is a fairy-like being, dressed in a gold and white robe with a crown atop her golden locks. Depending on region and family tradition, either the “Christkind” (pronounced Kristkint) or the “Weihnachtsmann” (Father Christmas or better known as Santa Claus) will be the bearer of gifts.

A Classic family Thanksgiving gathering for ten that would have done Norman Rockwell proud. 

Classic Napa provided all tabletop rentals including:  Aura Java linen and Camelot Brick napkins with Fiddlehead napkin rings, Tuscan chairs, Essence sunset linen, Costa Nova china, red and clear ticking votives, Le Grande and Iris Artland red glassware, Ascot flatware, and Copper Pounded and Rustic Antique chargers.

Winter may be cold in New York, but things were toasty at Skylight West Studios at this December soiree.

With the help of Chris Taylor Designs and the venue’s event manager, Classic New York produced a holiday event that was cozy, chic, and conveyed the holiday look the client wanted.

Classic used warm amber lights with holiday flake gobos, crisp white furniture with customized blue and silver pillows, mirrored tables and votives galore to transform the large loft space.

T’was the first week of December and all through D.C., Capital Party elves were working, hard as can be.

With no time to spare and the winter’s cold air, they were up to the challenge of the three-day (installation) dare.

Edgar and his crew are sure to please, all client requests . . . with the greatest of ease.

It’s Holiday Market time as you know… now please crossed fingers . . . there’s no snow! 

Capital Party Rentals once again provided the D.C. Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) all of their Holiday Market rental needs. 

It’s a three-day installation that includes 50 tents with double sub-floor, icicle lighting, sliding sidewalls, 50 flags . . . not to mention following all the stringent rules for street festivals and tenting in Washington DC.

This three-week festival is a very popular tradition for many Washingtonians. It’s a pleasure to work with the Downtown BID and the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery on this annual holiday event.

Many details go into this party, including the life-size cows, pigs and scarecrows, all created by Michael George Events. 

Michael George Events handled the decorating, event planning and catering. Classic Hamptons provided the rentals.

You have to love Halloween to put on a large party in your home that gets better each year!

How can you miss with skulls on poles rotating at the entrance and a dancing troupe from Texas greeting guests?

This year Shari Kelley Events of Palm Springs had Classic install a 50′ x 90′ frame for the main party and a 20′ x 90′ frame for the food station area.

After putting electrical cords in place for the lighting by Shari’s crews, Classic covered all of the pipe with black velon. Classic also provided the white and black dance floor, tables, chairs and heaters with velvet black covers.

Carousel Catering provided scrumptious catering as always and Classic provided glassware, china and cooking equipment.

Spooktacular!

Capital Party Rentals in Washington DC had another successful year providing tenting and tabletop to a three-week long event ‘Hometown for the Holidays’ held in front of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

The 110 vendors ranged from cupcakes and funnel cakes to high-end restaurants selling filet mignon on the streets, clothing retailers, homemade jewelry and scarf makers, fortune tellers and all genres of bands displaying their musical talents.

It’s a great community event that brings together those who live in the city and those who work in the city. In case you’re wondering…the show did go on throughout the blizzard. The client and consumers were thrilled. They called it their “Winter Wonderland” and they had a record number of customers during the snow storm!
