The highlight of the Hamptons summer social season, the Parrish Art Museum Midsummer Party has become the not-to-be-missed party for its spectacular décor, electrifying music, and extraordinary food.

This year’s honoree was Dorothy Lichtenstein. Dorothy’s close friends and party co-chairs, Agnes Gund, Jo Carole Lauder and Ronald Lauder, along with Host Committee Chair Larry Gagosian, and Vice-chairs Gayle Perkins Atkins, Deborah Bancroft, Danielle Ganek, and Kelly Behun Sugarman came together to celebrate Dorothy, the summer and the amazing art of the Parrish.

Classic Party Rentals did the rentals for close to 500 people for the pre-cocktail party, the dinner and the after party. The large tree growing in the middle of the park behind the museum presented a challenge, but floral and event designer, Sandra, from Daily Blossom Floral, turned it into a striking focal point. She brought a tree to every table which had people commenting that this was the finest the event has ever looked. Silver chairs with purple dupioni cloths and seat cushions made the room come alive. There is something about silver and purple. Amazing combination.dsc095271

Lighting, lighting, lighting makes the mood, and the lighting by Luminous Designs out of New York City was not to be believed.

Catering by Great Performances included delectable delights and signature drinks that made the after party the best ever.
