“Dixie and I wanted to throw one party ‘for fun’ this summer. We wanted it to be a combined guest list . . . we wanted to include some new folks, and wanted it to be an intimate evening. We capped the list at twenty.

The setting was the barn on our property in CT – the perfect spot for a party.

Cocktails were outside on our deck and with a few cocktail tables on the lawn. We had a bar, bartender and a piano player on the lawn which set the perfect “tone” for the party.

I wanted to do one long table. We ordered all of the rentals from CLASSIC PARTY RENTALS and mixed some green glass in with regular glass for some “pop.” I did the flowers myself with stunning hydrangeas from the wholesale florist.

The food was from our favorite chef, Kevin Schmitz, who spoiled us with a fantastic four-course dinner and his own to-die-for chocolate BERKSHIRE BARK to accompany dessert.

And judging by the emails and notes we received, everyone had a blast. We did have a great time – a truly special evening.”

The theme of this edition, A Spectrum of Inspiration, was how to base décor around a couple of key colors. Classic’s assignment was turquoise and gold . . . Wedding Nouveau.

Classic brought out the new gold shantung and teal satin napkins for linen. The place setting consisted of a mix of the Magnificence and Gothic gold patterns, with the Manhattan flatware, and Operetta glassware. Aqua votives added an additional touch of color to the mix.

After being asked to submit a spread in the latest edition of Premier Bride Memphis Magazine, Amy Miller with Amy Miller Weddings & Events came to Classic Party Rentals Memphis to find the perfect rentals for her Southern Peach photo shoot.

The Inn at Hunt Phelan, an 1828 antebellum mansion just steps away from Beale Street in downtown Memphis, hosted the photo shoot. The old southern mansion was the perfect historical setting.

Working side by side with Haute Horticulture and Asian Bees Photography, the set bloomed from an idea to a masterpiece as fine details were added to every shot, giving a fresh look to a Classic Southern wedding.

Take That star Robbie Williams tied the knot with Ayda Field on August 7 in a super secret ceremony at his mansion.

I seriously cannot say enough about Mark and Allison, the dynamic duo that helped us transform the space. Classic is relatively new to Nashville but from the looks of their inventory and their incredible customer service, I have officially put myself at the top of the number 1 fan list.” 

“While we were sourcing the decor elements, we needed to really flush out the design concept in terms of the rentals we would bring in to transform the bare space into an inviting and warm place that guests would want to stay forever. We enlisted the help of Classic Party Rentals in Nashville who literally hit it out of the park. Together with Sarah True, the fabulous designer behind the day, we came up with four defined spaces for our event…4 lounge areas, a dance space, food stations and dining. Although Classic Party Rentals provided ALL of the rentals for the day (I told you they kicked butt), the real focus turned out to be the lounge areas that Mark and Allison at Classic helped Sarah design. Each of the four lounge areas would consist of 2 benches, 2 reflection tables, 2 small square ottomans, a zebra rug, some throw pillows, a lucite tray and perfect floral centerpiece.

So in terms of inspiration and ideas, we had a lot. Add in some fun DIY’s, the most gorgeous flowers you’ve ever seen, a giddy bride, vendors who traveled from four corners of the country and oh, did I mention the Nashville floods that literally left us without a venue until the week before…and you have a real life wedding adventure that I will never forget. ”

But the Sonoran Living July 7 television spot featured tips from Classic Tri-Rentals on how to have it made in the shade.

Heidi’s Events & Catering assisted with the spot featuring their ice cold sundae bar.
