Bob Hope Tournament Classic Ball

The Bob Hope Classic Golf Tournament and Classic Ball celebrate their 50th anniversary during 2010. The ball’s theme this year is a salute to the last of the “Road to…” Bob Hope movies, The Road to Hong Kong.

Guests gathered to celebrate at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort rose garden and ballroom. Classic provided a 50′ x 100′ structure in front of the ballroom for the entry and cocktail party. Classic crews provided the electrical drops and hanging points for Shari Kelly Events of Palm Springs who designed and produced the event. Shari’s crews hung the Hong Kong theme festive lights from the tent’s ceiling. Classic hung the pin spots and the gold custom swagging and valance to highlight the 50th anniversary theme and Black Chiavari barstools provided the perfect seating for the 40-foot sushi bar.

An established tradition for the ball is a Marine escort for each woman walking the red carpet. Classic rolled out the red carpet from the valet parking to the cocktail area and provided additional red carpet from the main doors to the main stage in the ballroom.

A great event for a great cause. Over the years the tournament has donated more than $47,000,000 to local charities.
