What happens at Rob’s Club …

Classic San Francisco’s Gwen Ortiz collaborated with an Alamo, CA hostess throwing a 50th birthday bash for her husband and 99 of their closest friends. The client wanted to create the atmosphere of a “private club” … Rob’s Club. 

Guests entered the “club” through a 10′ x 40′ clear entrance canopy installed in a breezeway, featuring Topaz Pewter drapery and red carpet. This led into a 50′ x 80′ tent with 10′ x 80′ and 15′ x 25′ connectors. All tents were clear tops with clear walls, and raised to include two existing 12′ trees.

The ceiling was partially swagged with Clay colored fabric, and wall poles were covered in the same shade. Classic created two Topaz Pewter drum chandeliers to flank the white dance floor. 

The Classic lighting team created the perfect ambiance by back lighting the ceiling drape and placing fun gobos on the dance floor.

The furniture was Designer*8 in white leather and black suede. Caterer Barbara Llewellyn brought in kiosk tables and linen and florals; other décor elements were brought in by the property’s staff.

The Hideaway Golf Club in La Quinta, CA  hosts a golf tournament dubbed the Hootenanny with celebration dinner following.

With a moniker like “Hootenanny” you’ve gotta shake things up and add a unique twist or two.

For the dinner … picture an open kitchen in an upscale restaurant. Classic Palm Springs provided a 50′ x 100′ structure and an adjacent on-site kitchen, both with clear tops and sidewalls allowing guests a clear view of the Iron Chef-like action.

Classic provided convection ovens, stoves, ovens, griddles, deep fat fryers and heat lamps to make sure every meal came out piping hot. China, glassware and lighting also provided by Classic.

Thousands came to cheer on their favorites at the 2011 Bob Hope Classic Golf Tournment at the PGA West Palmer Course, PGA West Nicklaus Course, La Quinta Country Club, and Silver Rock Resort.

Classic Palm Springs and Classic Tents provided 18,500 square feet of tenting, 21,000 feet of Astro Turf, and hundreds of tables and thousands of chairs for this four-day event. 

One of the challenges of the job is to carry the pipe beams, frames, canvas skins, walls, tables and chairs to the elevated skyboxes around and over the 18th green. Forklifts help, but the height and coordinating with outside vendors adds to the complexity of the install.

Rookie Jhonattan Vegas with a 24 under par for the four days and four courses won the tournament. And what a finish … on the last hole, Jhonattan was in a three-way tie and won on the second playoff hole.

Governor’s Global Climate Summit (GGCS) 3 was co-hosted by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Mondavi Center on the UC Davis Campus. The vision of the event is to catalyze climate change solutions to promote a clean, green global economy. At the Summit, California and its international partners collaborated to share best practices and accelerate the development of green innovations.

Classic Party Rentals Sacramento along with teams from Napa, Modesto and San Francisco constructed the 24,000 square foot Global Pavilion that housed sponsor exhibits, eating areas, the Green Solutions Showcase, the GEELA Awards and Hub Culture interviews.

The pavilion was made up of a 100’ x 160’ pole tent, 30’ x 40’ welcome tent, 40’ x 80’ NGO exhibit area and a 30’ x 30’ catering tent. The entire pavilion had a full beam and plywood floor with 22 rolls of green Astroturf. Classic provided all the lighting throughout the tents and electrical distribution for all the exhibitors, Bio Diesel generator, linens, tables and chairs.

Together as One is an amazing electronic music festival held on New Year’s Eve in downtown LA.

A joint production by promoters Go Ventures and Insomniac, Together as One attracts audiences of over 40,000 dance music enthusiasts each year.

Classic Tents provided the 140’ x 300’ and 100’ x 160’ Curved Beam Structures. A perfect setting for the music . . . and it’s all about the music.

Classic Tents set up a custom 85′ x 180′ Mid Beam Structure for the red carpet in addition to a 140’ x 90’ media and crew tent. 

Additional frame tents were used to create a celebrity walkway to and from cars and limos to the structure and from the structure into the Nokia Theatre for the show. To exit the celebs came back under the structure to cue up for the VIP after-party in the LA Live Conga Room.

Capital Party Rentals Washington D.C. had the pleasure of working with Debbie Young, Marketing Manager for the Georgetown BID, to bring it all together for the “Taste.”

Capital was challenged again this year to conduct a “sprint” installation of more than 60 tents and 2 stages, as well as all the banner poles, linens, tables and chairs to go with them.

The challenge: a midnight to 5 a.m. installation timeline. The outcome: Capital finished with time to spare. The event was a huge success with over 15,000 in attendance blanketing Wisconsin Avenue.

Lovely September wedding for 270 at the Del Rio Country Club in Modesto, California.

For the ceremony, White Chiavari chairs and market umbrellas set up in the “Wedding Bowl” amid the fairways. Beautiful and provided welcome shade.

For the reception, four tents (40’ x 110′, 30’ x 110′, 30’ x 30’, 30’ x 60’) with liners, leg drapes and Camelot Powder wall drape, surrounded Del Rio’s landmark oak tree.

Silver Chiavari chairs, Kathleen White linens, Kathleen Sage napkins, mirrored charges, double silver band china, and Vienna glasses accented with Comtempo Plum flutes.

Cadillac V Lab Tour

Classic Tents created the perfect setting for Cadillac’s five-city tour with a 15M x 15M structure in all black fabric, grey keder and black concrete block covers, with doors, HVAC, power package and executive restoom. 

Classic also provided tables, linens and chairs by Chameleon Chairs.

The challenge . . . an outdoor option to augment the Pavilion’s upscale banquet facilities. Classic made it happen with this 60′ x 100′ 22 oz coated vinyl all weather design.

The custom structure is all season air conditioned and heated with heated garden pavers to preserve the extensive landscaping year round.

It’s the perfect setting for just about any very special occasion.
