A little history on this very unique venue in the desert.

Years ago a man and his friends decided to create a lake in the desert where they could race their model yachts. After working for years on the lake at the man’s ranch…and with many, many bottles of Corona beer consumed, it was dubbed the Corona Yacht Club.

For years it was a very private spot and anyone going there was asked not to breathe a word about the location. Finally it was sold and became a venue for weddings and corporate events.

The Date Grove is often used for elegant dinners, and there are two additional entertainment areas, an event lawn and the covered area around the lake, the Corona Yacht Club. 

This Classic wedding event started in the Date Grove where Classic installed Caramel Astroturf and placed 200 Fruitwood Chiavari chairs for the wedding ceremony along with white pipe and drape at the location of the altar. Fiori Fresco Events added floral arrangements to complete the elegant setting.

After the wedding, guests were ushered to the event lawn and then on to the Corona Yacht Club for dinner. East Meets West Catering provided food service and again Fiori Fresco Events provided a beautiful array of florals for the centerpieces.

Classic provided Gold Chiavari chairs, tables, china, flatware and cooking equipment for the event. Shine Lighting lit up the entire venue for a beautiful evening under the stars at the yacht club in the desert.
